About My Guide

Technology keeps changing, and nobody keeps up with all of it. My Guide is here to make the useful parts easy to find and easy to follow.

Who it's for

Anyone who wants clear, practical help with phones, computers, AI and life online. Many of our readers are in their sixties, seventies and beyond. Some are just getting started, others have used computers for decades and simply want to keep up with what's new.

It's also for families and carers who help someone else. Every guide page can be printed, so you can leave a copy by the phone.

What we promise

  • Our guides are free to use, with no adverts.
  • We write in plain English and keep things up to date as phones and apps change.
  • We'll never ask for your personal or financial details.

Who is behind My Guide

My Guide is run by the team behind My Chat, a home phone service. Where it is genuinely useful, such as in our landline switch-off guide, we mention My Chat, and we always label it clearly. Everything else on this site is written to help you, whichever provider you use.
